Just a day after Kandara MP Alice Wahome blasted President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga over their alleged plans to extend his presidential term and introduce a Prime Minister's post through the BBI, another legislator allied to Deputy President William Ruto has hit out at the proponents of this move.

Speaking at his home in Eldoret, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi who seemed to read from the same script as Wahome said that Kenyans are not interested in the creation of new leadership positions but instead need public services improved to make their lives easier. "We do not want the PM post created. Instead of the BBI addressing issues facing ordinary citizens, they want to create more positions for their own selfish needs. Kenyans are going through a difficult time and their needs must be prioritised and respected," said Sudi.

The legislator also hit back at COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli and former jubilee party Chairman David Murathe for instigating talks that could see President Uhuru cling to power. "There are people who believe that they're next to God and want to treat us like squatters. Atwoli and Murathe are drunkards and conmen and no one should take them seriously. Atwoli wants Uhuru to stick to power like he has done at COTU. That we won't allow," he added.

Sudi also lashed out at CS Interior Fred Matiang'i and his PS Kibicho  for using government apparatus to intimidate politicians opposed to the BBI and handshake. "These 2 are planning evil for the country. They are returning us to the past era where only few individuas wielded power. Mnatwambia kila siku mnapanga hii na ile. Even former President Moi was strong and powerful. Right now he is under the trees just praying to his God."

"Mkitaka tukanyagane tutakanyagana. Mtafunga watu wangapi? Mtauwa watu wangapi? Mmetisha hata Governors wanaogopa," he continued.

On forces within and without the Jubilee party who seem to drive a wedge between the President and his Deputy, Sudi said that the forthcoming jubilee party elections in March, 2020 will wipe out such individuals." Uhuru is surrounded by conmen and drunkards like Murathe and Atwoli.Rapahel Tuju is a squatter in Jubilee. We only brought him on board to ensure our party had a national outlook. Msitishe sisi. We are the owners of Jubilee."

In the recent past, Jubilee party legislators allied to the Deputy President have continued to lead an onslaught on the BBI and handshake, both initiatives by the President who is also the Jubilee Party leader, further widening cracks within the ruling party. As a result, 2 factions have emerged, Kieleweke and Tangatanga associated with the President and his Deputy respectively.
