Moses Kuria arrested for assault

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has been arrested  for assaulting a woman. He was arrested in Westlands on Friday morning and whisked to Kilimani police station where the victim, media commentator Joyce Wanja alias Wagichungumwa complained that the legislator beat her up.

The lady alleges that the MP physically assaulted her at the Royal Media premises where they had both attended Kiririmbi,a political show on 8th December,2019.

She had confronted the MP over his sexist sentiments at an event held to fundraise and support orphans in Kiambu. She says Kuria uttered words that were not pleasing before the children and the crowd leading to the brawl.

Kuria is not new to controversy. In the past, he has been on the receiving end for his utterances which has landed him into trouble.
