At least 160 dead after a plane crash in Iran

Ukrainian Boeing 737 plane carrying between 160-170 people has crashed near Tehran airport moments after take-off from Imam Khomeini airport.

Iranian news agency says that there are no signs of any survivors after the crash which they say was caused by a technical error. An alleged video of a Ukrainian Boeing 737 crash has surfaced online showing how the crash occurred.

Though Iranian authorities have said it was due to a technical error, others say that no one should take Tehran’s word for it. "Mechanical? Perhaps, but there’s much at play in region & many actors.  Wait for more info." posted one journalist.
