Anti-terror police foil terrorist attacks in Nairobi and Lamu

Anti-terror police have foiled an attempted terror attack in one of the City's entertainment joints. The police arrested 5 individuals in connection with the failed attack.

The police say that the 5, 2 Kenyans, a US citizen and 2 Somali nationals were arrested after the police noted them carrying out surveillance at Whiskey River pub along Kiambu Road, Nairobi.

The 5 are;
1, Mohamed Abas Mohamud - USA citizen
2. Mohamed Hassan Bario -Somalia national
3, Mohamed Adan - Kenyan driver,
4. Hodan Abdi Ismail female Somalia national
5. Ifrah Mohammed Abshir female Somalia national.

During the arrest, the anti-terror police recovered 1 Kenyan Airforce trouser, 1 jungle t-shirt,1 jungle hat, 1 jungle trouser, money in US dollars, Ksh and Somalia currency, 1 Mac book laptop, 1 US passport and 1 US embassy security card.

In other related news, Lamu County Commissioner has said that security agencies in Lamu yesterday repulsed armed Al-Shabaab militants who attempted to attack Pandanguo village.

This comes 2 days after President Uhuru Kenyatta spelt out tough measures meant to decimate the terrorist group.
