Mwangi Kiunjuri sprayed out of Cabinet

Deputy President William Ruto's point man in Central region Mwangi Kiunjuri has been axed from the Cabinet.

The politician who has become famous for telling Kenyans to take pictures of locusts and send them to his ministry was left out of the cabinet as President Uhuru made the announcement. While Minister for agriculture Kiunjuri once got a tongue lashing from the President over the woes facing maize farmers in the country.

Announcing the restructuring and changes in the Cabinet President Kenyatta replaced Kiunjuri with Peter Munya who served in the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Seasoned Nyeri  politician Mutahi Kagwe who served in former President Kibaki's cabinet has been nominated as Health CS. Uhuru has confirmed Ukur Yatani as Treasury CS and moved Monica Juma to Defence replacing Raychelle Omamo who moves to Foreign Affairs and Sicily Kariuki formerly of health moves to Water and Sanitation.
