Al shabab strikes again

At least 4 people have been killed in a fresh attack by the Somalia based militant group Al shabab. The attack happened at Saretho area in Garissa county as the militants tried to storm a  police station. 

Among those killed are a teacher and a child. According to the Inspector General of police Hilary Mutyambai, officers on patrol were able to thwart the 2.30 am attack and managed to neutralize 2 of the attackers and recovered 2 AK 47  assault rifles, improvised explosive device making materials and other crude weapons. The group also destroyed a mast belonging to the telecommunications firm Safaricom.

Mutyambai further added that security agencies have been mobilized and are pursuing the rest of the attackers.
