Jubilee Leaders pour cold water on BBI
Members of Parliament and Senators allied to DP William Ruto have continued their charm offensive on the Building Bridges Initiative and the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga by terming the initiative as a ploy to destabilize Deputy President William Ruto presidential ambitions for 2022.

Led by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, Nandi Senator, Samson Cherargei  and Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot the leaders said that the BBI is a fraud and is only meant for the big boys.
"If they will not bring you development tell them to go away with the BBI. Wananchi will not eat the BBI. We want them to improve the lives of the ordinary Kenyan. That handshake is bonoko." Said Cheruiyot.

The leaders also took issue with Interior CS  Fred Matiang'i for misusing the Police and accused him of being a know it all and arranging for the heckling of Jubilee affiliated MPs in Bomas during the launch of the BBI report. "Matiang'i writes whatsapp messages and text mesaages to County Commissioners and directs them not to attend any function presided over by the Deputy President. Matiang'i cannot even get a position of cattle dip Chairman. He must stop his theatrics," said Cherargei.

In defiance of President Uhuru's directive that leaders stop early campaigns and focus on delivering services for Kenyans, the leaders urged Baringo voters to vote for William Ruto as President because there is no other person who can lead Kenya and fulfil all the promises of the electorate.

The leaders accused the National government of undermining devolution by orchestrating the arrest and prosecution of Governors over corruption allegations. Cherargei said that he will introduce a motion that will allow immunity for the President, his Deputy and Governors saying that the arrests are affecting service delivery in counties.

They were speaking in Baringo County during the Kimalel Goat auction.
