Dozens killed in a car bomb in Mogadishu
A car bomb in the capital city of Somalia, Mogadishu has killed at least 70 people and left over 100 injured.
According to police officers, the deadly incident happened after a suicide bomber driving in a car full of explosives detonated in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
Among those killed are university students who were travelling in a bus. A decade ago, a suicide bomber killed 14 medical students at a graduation ceremony at Benadir University, Somalia.
Though no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, it is highly likely that Al-Shabaab insurgents carried out the attack. Local officials say that they are keenly monitoring the situation.
