Doctors in Kisumu county have been advised to immediately resume work after their strike was called off following a meeting with officials from the County Government of Kisumu and Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union, Nyanza branch.
Through a press release signed by Nyanza region KMPDU branch chair Mr Kevin Osuri, the county and the board have been proactively engaged on the implementation of the CBA with specific reference to the promotion of doctors.

The chair went on to say that the doctors should pick their letters of promotion from the County department of Health on 30th December, 2019. The over 250 doctors went on strike on 6th December, 2019 faulting the County Government of Kisumu for not honouring the June 24th,2019 CBA.
