Social advocate for youth and women empowerment and Ms President Nairobi County Adera Betty has been appointed as a National Clean Content Ambassador for the Kenya Film Classification Board(KFCB).

Announcing the appointment, KFCB Chief Executive Officer Ezekiel Mutua said that Betty's role will inspire the youth to create and consume clean content.

"I am pleased to announce that Adera Betty, the reigning Ms President Nairobi County, has today joined the Board as a clean content Ambassador. We hope to work with Betty and her Foundation to inspire the youth to create and consume clean content.
Congratulations Betty and welcome," said Mutua.

Betty thanked the board for the appointment promising to support the board's ongoing war against bad content displayed for public consumption in public service vehicles(PSVs).

"I am deeply humbled by this announcement and promise my atmost commitment to this course for the benefit of our youth and our country at large," said Betty.

She was awarded the Role Model of the Year in the recently concluded Talent-Preneur awards hosted by KFCB.

KFCB has embarked on an operation meant to bring sanity in the transport sector by sensitising public service vehicle operators on the kind of content to put out for the public. "We must rid the country of the wanton impunity in the PSVs sector that defies order and decency and thrives in chaos. We cannot be proud of having a rogue transport sector and yet entrust the lives of millions of our citizens with it," announced Mutua.
