In pictures and video : Graffiti artist using art to spread awareness about Covid-19 in Mathare slums

Brian Musasia, famously known as Msale prides himself in his signature abstract Afro patterns that are now easily distinct in wall murals done by BSQ Crew, a street art group based in Kenya’s Capital, Nairobi.

During this Covid-19 crisis, Msale is using his art to spread awareness about the pandemic in one of Kenya's informal settlements, Mathare.

A mural by grafitti artist Msale Bryan showing ways in which the public can prevent themselves from catching Covid-19. It reads; Stay at home, observe social distancing, wash your hands with soap

Slum children play next to a mural depicting ways of protecting yourself from catching and spreading Covid-19. On the mural, a woman with her two children wear face masks.  A further reading says that one should cover his or her mouth when sneezing or coughing and another shows the contact number 719 to call a health worker

Msale paints the image of Oness, a father of three on the walls of his tin house. Oness has lived here for the last 15 years. Watch the video below.
