Retired Judge Anganyanya dies after suffering heart attack

The Judiciary fraternity is mourning the death of retired Judge Daniel Aganyanya who died at the Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu on Friday night.

According to family sources, the 82 year old died after suffering a heart attack. Anganyanya was husband to Justice Roselyn Nambuye. Chief Justice David Maraga has mourned the late judge for his dedicated service and stringent work ethic and commitment to the law.

 "I have learnt with great shock about the sad demise of your husband and former colleague retired Judge Daniel Anganyanya. On behalf of the entire Judiciary and Judicial Service Commission, and on my own behalf, I wish to express to you our deepest condolences during this time of grief as you come to terms with the enormous loss. 

Justice Anganyanya had a lengthy career in the Judiciary spanning more than 38 years, during which he served Kenyans with immense energy, dedication and integrity. We pray that the Almighty God continues to be a source of comfort to you and the rest of the family during this difficult time of mourning him," said Maraga.
